[ Upstream commitc08eadca1b] The commit 47677e51e2a4("[media] em28xx: Only deallocate struct em28xx after finishing all extensions") adds kref_get to many init functions (e.g., em28xx_audio_init). However, kref_init is called too late in em28xx_usb_probe, since em28xx_init_dev before will invoke those init functions and call kref_get function. Then refcount bug occurs in my local syzkaller instance. Fix it by moving kref_init before em28xx_init_dev. This issue occurs not only in dev but also dev->dev_next. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
