[ Upstream commit3cc393d223] Actually check if the passed pointers are valid, before writing to them. This also fixes a USBAN warning: UBSAN: invalid-load in ../sound/soc/fsl/imx-card.c:687:25 load of value 255 is not a valid value for type '_Bool' This is because playback_only is uninitialized and is not written to, as the playback-only property is absent. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
