[ Upstream commite3fa4b747f] When channel->device_obj is non-NULL, vmbus_onoffer_rescind() could invoke put_device(), that will eventually release the device and free the channel object (cf. vmbus_device_release()). However, a pointer to the object is dereferenced again later to load the primary_channel. The use-after-free can be avoided by noticing that this load/check is redundant if device_obj is non-NULL: primary_channel must be NULL if device_obj is non-NULL, cf. vmbus_add_channel_work(). Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
