[ Upstream commitfb4b1373dc] Function "dma_map_sg" is entitled to merge adjacent entries and return a value smaller than what was passed as "nents". Subsequently "ib_map_mr_sg" needs to work with this value ("sg_dma_len") rather than the original "nents" parameter ("sg_len"). This old RDS bug was exposed and reliably causes kernel panics (using RDMA operations "rds-stress -D") on x86_64 starting with: commitc588072bba("iommu/vt-d: Convert intel iommu driver to the iommu ops") Simply put: Linux 5.11 and later. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
