Instead of scheduling the work to handle the initial delayed event, use 1s delay. This delay should not be needed, but Optimus/nouveau will fail in a mysterious way if the delayed event is handled as soon as possible like it is done in drm_helper_probe_single_connector_modes() in case the poll was enabled before. Reverting339fd36238would give back the 10 sec (!) delay to handle the delayed event. Adding 1sec delay to the poll_work is enough to work around the issue in Optimus setups and gives shorter response on handling the initial delayed event. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
