X86 IO/APIC and MSI interrupts (when used without interrupts remapping) require that the affinity setup on startup is done before the interrupt is enabled for the first time as the non-remapped operation mode cannot safely migrate enabled interrupts from arbitrary contexts. Provide a new irq chip flag which allows affected hardware to request this. This has to be opt-in because there have been reports in the past that some interrupt chips cannot handle affinity setting before startup. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
