commit34d3a78c68upstream. Tag the return type of {per, this}_cpu_ptr with RDONLY_MEM. The returned value of this pair of helpers is kernel object, which can not be updated by bpf programs. Previously these two helpers return PTR_OT_MEM for kernel objects of scalar type, which allows one to directly modify the memory. Now with RDONLY_MEM tagging, the verifier will reject programs that write into RDONLY_MEM. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
