Infoframes in KMS is usually handled by a bunch of low-level helpers that require quite some boilerplate for drivers. This leads to discrepancies with how drivers generate them, and which are actually sent. Now that we have everything needed to generate them in the HDMI connector state, we can generate them in our common logic so that drivers can simply reuse what we precomputed. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
