	"The 27C6:01E0 touchpad doesn't require the workaround and applying it
	would actually break functionality.

	The initial report came from a BBS forum, but we suspect the
	information provided by the forum user may be incorrect which could
	happen sometimes. [1]

	Further investigation showed that the Lenovo Y9000P 2024 doesn't even
	use a Goodix touchpad. [2]

	For the broader issue of 27c6:01e0 being unusable on some devices, it
	just need to address it with a libinput quirk.

	In conclusion, we should revert this commit, which is the best
	solution."

Due to incorrect dev->product reporting by certain devices, null
pointer dereferences occur when dev->product is empty, leading to
potential system crashes.

This issue was found on EXCELSIOR DL37-D05 device with

Jason Gerecke 18023f0992 HID: wacom: Interpret tilt data from Intuos Pro BT as signed values
commit 49a397ad24 upstream.

The tilt data contained in the Bluetooth packets of an Intuos Pro are
supposed to be interpreted as signed values. Simply casting the values
to type `char` is not guaranteed to work since it is implementation-
defined whether it is signed or unsigned. At least one user has noticed
the data being reported incorrectly on their system. To ensure that the
data is interpreted properly, we specifically cast to `signed char`
instead.

as the original  Thinkpad X1 Tablet keyboard.

Add the PID for the "Thinkpad X1 Tablet Gen 3 keyboard" to the hid-lenovo
driver to fix the FnLock, Mute and media buttons not working.

Kenneth Albanowski 5622881cf0 HID: multitouch: Add quirk for Logitech Bolt receiver w/ Casa touchpad
[ Upstream commit 526748b925 ]

The Logitech Casa Touchpad does not reliably send touch release signals
when communicating through the Logitech Bolt wireless-to-USB receiver.

Adjusting the device class to add MT_QUIRK_NOT_SEEN_MEANS_UP to make
sure that no touches become stuck, MT_QUIRK_FORCE_MULTI_INPUT is not
needed, but harmless.

Linux does not have information on which devices are connected to the
Bolt receiver, so we have to enable this for the entire device.

WangYuli eb6751a26a HID: multitouch: Add quirk for HONOR MagicBook Art 14 touchpad

The behavior of HONOR MagicBook Art 14 touchpad is not consistent
after reboots, as sometimes it reports itself as a touchpad, and
sometimes as a mouse.

Similarly to GLO-GXXX it is possible to call MT_QUIRK_FORCE_GET_FEATURE as a
workaround to force set feature in mt_set_input_mode() for such special touchpad
device.

Stefan Blum c2242ebafd HID: multitouch: Add support for B2402FVA track point

By default the track point does not work on the Asus Expertbook B2402FVA.

From libinput record i got the ID of the track point device:

I found that the track point is functional, when i set the

Wade Wang a925279e5a HID: plantronics: Workaround for an unexcepted opposite volume key
commit 87b6962090 upstream.

Some Plantronics headset as the below send an unexcept opposite
volume key's HID report for each volume key press after 200ms, like
unecepted Volume Up Key following Volume Down key pressed by user.
This patch adds a quirk to hid-plantronics for these devices, which
will ignore the second unexcepted opposite volume key if it happens
within 220ms from the last one that was handled.
    Plantronics EncorePro 500 Series  (047f:431e)
    Plantronics Blackwire_3325 Series (047f:430c)

The patch was tested on the mentioned model, it shouldn't affect
other models, however, this quirk might be needed for them too.
Auto-repeat (when a key is held pressed) is not affected per test
result.

Using the device-managed version allows to simplify clean-up in probe()
error path.

Additionally, this device-managed ensures proper cleanup, which helps to
resolve memory errors, page faults, btrfs going read-only, and btrfs
disk corruption.

Jason Gerecke 09ed537092 HID: wacom: Do not warn about dropped packets for first packet

The driver currently assumes that the first sequence number it will see
is going to be 0. This is not a realiable assumption and can break if,
for example, the tablet has already been running for some time prior to
the kernel driver connecting to the device. This commit initializes the
expected sequence number to -1 and will only print the "Dropped" warning
the it has been updated to a non-negative value.

Jason Gerecke c53345e926 HID: wacom: Support sequence numbers smaller than 16-bit

The current dropped packet reporting assumes that all sequence numbers
are 16 bits in length. This results in misleading "Dropped" messages if
the hardware uses fewer bits. For example, if a tablet uses only 8 bits
to store its sequence number, once it rolls over from 255 -> 0, the
driver will still be expecting a packet "256". This patch adjusts the
logic to reset the next expected packet to logical_minimum whenever
it overflows beyond logical_maximum.

KASAN reports a use-after-free of hid->driver_data in function
amd_sfh_get_report(). The backtrace indicates that the function is called
by amdtp_hid_request() which is one of the callbacks of hid device.
The current make sure that driver_data is freed only once
hid_destroy_device() returned.

Note that I observed the crash both on v6.9.9 and v6.10.0. The
code seems to be as it was from the early days of the driver.

Siarhei Vishniakou d463accbb7 HID: microsoft: Add rumble support to latest xbox controllers
commit f5554725f3 upstream.

Currently, rumble is only supported via bluetooth on a single xbox
controller, called 'model 1708'. On the back of the device, it's named
'wireless controller for xbox one'. However, in 2021, Microsoft released
a firmware update for this controller. As part of this update, the HID
descriptor of the device changed. The product ID was also changed from
0x02fd to 0x0b20. On this controller, rumble was supported via
hid-microsoft, which matched against the old product id (0x02fd). As a
result, the firmware update broke rumble support on this controller.

The hid-microsoft driver actually supports rumble on the new firmware,
as well. So simply adding new product id is sufficient to bring back
this support.

After discussing further with the xbox team, it was pointed out that
another xbox controller, xbox elite series 2, can be supported in a
similar way.

Add rumble support for all of these devices in this patch. Two of the
devices have received firmware updates that caused their product id's to
change. Both old and new firmware versions of these devices were tested.

Jason Gerecke 0abdec5894 HID: wacom: Defer calculation of resolution until resolution_code is known
commit 1b8f9c1fb4 upstream.

The Wacom driver maps the HID_DG_TWIST usage to ABS_Z (rather than ABS_RZ)
for historic reasons. When the code to support twist was introduced in
commit 50066a042d ("HID: wacom: generic: Add support for height, tilt,
and twist usages"), we were careful to write it in such a way that it had
HID calculate the resolution of the twist axis assuming ABS_RZ instead
(so that we would get correct angular behavior). This was broken with
the introduction of commit 08a46b4190 ("HID: wacom: Set a default
resolution for older tablets"), which moved the resolution calculation
to occur *before* the adjustment from ABS_Z to ABS_RZ occurred.

This commit moves the calculation of resolution after the point that
we are finished setting things up for its proper use.

This device sometimes doesn't send touch release signals when moving
from >=4 fingers to <4 fingers. Using MT_QUIRK_NOT_SEEN_MEANS_UP instead
of MT_QUIRK_ALWAYS_VALID makes sure that no touches become stuck.

MT_QUIRK_FORCE_MULTI_INPUT is not necessary for this device, but does no
harm.

Johan Hovold c0cd2d8800 HID: i2c-hid: elan: fix reset suspend current leakage
[ Upstream commit 0eafc58f21 ]

The Elan eKTH5015M touch controller found on the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s
shares the VCC33 supply with other peripherals that may remain powered
during suspend (e.g. when enabled as wakeup sources).

The reset line is also wired so that it can be left deasserted when the
supply is off.

This is important as it avoids holding the controller in reset for
extended periods of time when it remains powered, which can lead to
increased power consumption, and also avoids leaking current through the
X13s reset circuitry during suspend (and after driver unbind).

Use the new 'no-reset-on-power-off' devicetree property to determine
when reset needs to be asserted on power down.

Notably this also avoids wasting power on machine variants without a
touchscreen for which the driver would otherwise exit probe with reset
asserted.

Cong Yang 274ecd4001 HID: i2c-hid: elan: Add ili9882t timing

The ili9882t is a TDDI IC (Touch with Display Driver). The
datasheet specifies there should be 60ms between touch SDA
sleep and panel RESX. Doug's series[1] allows panels and
touchscreens to power on/off together, so we can add the 65 ms
delay in i2c_hid_core_suspend before panel_unprepare.

Because ili9882t touchscrgeen is a panel follower, and
needs to use vccio-supply instead of vcc33-supply, so set
it NULL to ili9882t_chip_data, then not use vcc33 regulator.

Nam Cao 0561b65fbd HID: i2c-hid: remove I2C_HID_READ_PENDING flag to prevent lock-up
commit 9c0f59e47a upstream.

The flag I2C_HID_READ_PENDING is used to serialize I2C operations.
However, this is not necessary, because I2C core already has its own
locking for that.

More importantly, this flag can cause a lock-up: if the flag is set in
i2c_hid_xfer() and an interrupt happens, the interrupt handler
(i2c_hid_irq) will check this flag and return immediately without doing
anything, then the interrupt handler will be invoked again in an
infinite loop.

Since interrupt handler is an RT task, it takes over the CPU and the
flag-clearing task never gets scheduled, thus we have a lock-up.

Delete this unnecessary flag.

keyboards) which causes the middle button click workaround to be
mistakenly disabled.

This commit adds explicit parameter to sysfs to control this

Jason Gerecke e5c6c8ef3e HID: wacom: Do not register input devices until after hid_hw_start
commit c1d6708bf0 upstream.

If a input device is opened before hid_hw_start is called, events may
not be received from the hardware. In the case of USB-backed devices,
for example, the hid_hw_start function is responsible for filling in
the URB which is submitted when the input device is opened. If a device
is opened prematurely, polling will never start because the device will
not have been in the correct state to send the URB.

Because the wacom driver registers its input devices before calling
hid_hw_start, there is a window of time where a device can be opened
and end up in an inoperable state. Some ARM-based Chromebooks in particular
reliably trigger this bug.

This commit splits the wacom_register_inputs function into two pieces.
One which is responsible for setting up the allocated inputs (and runs
prior to hid_hw_start so that devices are ready for any input events
they may end up receiving) and another which only registers the devices
(and runs after hid_hw_start to ensure devices can be immediately opened
without issue). Note that the functions to initialize the LEDs and remotes
are also moved after hid_hw_start to maintain their own dependency chains.

Tatsunosuke Tobita b71a906a72 HID: wacom: generic: Avoid reporting a serial of '0' to userspace
commit ab41a31dd5 upstream.

The xf86-input-wacom driver does not treat '0' as a valid serial
number and will drop any input report which contains an
MSC_SERIAL = 0 event. The kernel driver already takes care to
avoid sending any MSC_SERIAL event if the value of serial[0] == 0
(which is the case for devices that don't actually report a
serial number), but this is not quite sufficient.
Only the lower 32 bits of the serial get reported to userspace,
so if this portion of the serial is zero then there can still
be problems.

This commit allows the driver to report either the lower 32 bits
if they are non-zero or the upper 32 bits otherwise.

Johan Hovold d7d7a0e3b6 HID: i2c-hid-of: fix NULL-deref on failed power up

A while back the I2C HID implementation was split in an ACPI and OF
part, but the new OF driver never initialises the client pointer which
is dereferenced on power-up failures.

Jason Gerecke f09b277f73 HID: wacom: Correct behavior when processing some confidence == false touches
commit 502296030e upstream.

There appear to be a few different ways that Wacom devices can deal with
confidence:

  1. If the device looses confidence in a touch, it will first clear
     the tipswitch flag in one report, and then clear the confidence
     flag in a second report. This behavior is used by e.g. DTH-2452.

  2. If the device looses confidence in a touch, it will clear both
     the tipswitch and confidence flags within the same report. This
     behavior is used by some AES devices.

  3. If the device looses confidence in a touch, it will clear *only*
     the confidence bit. The tipswitch bit will remain set so long as
     the touch is tracked. This behavior may be used in future devices.

The driver does not currently handle situation 3 properly. Touches that
loose confidence will remain "in prox" and essentially frozen in place
until the tipswitch bit is finally cleared. Not only does this result
in userspace seeing a stuck touch, but it also prevents pen arbitration
from working properly (the pen won't send events until all touches are
up, but we don't currently process events from non-confident touches).

This commit centralizes the checking of the confidence bit in the
wacom_wac_finger_slot() function and has 'prox' depend on it. In the
case where situation 3 is encountered, the treat the touch as though
it was removed, allowing both userspace and the pen arbitration to
act normally.

Since it's a divide-by-0 error, by tracking the code for potential
denominator issues, we've spotted 2 places in which this could happen;
so let's guard against the possibility and log in the kernel if the
condition happens. This is specially useful since some data that
fills some denominators are read from the joycon HW in some cases,
increasing the potential for flaws.
