lima uses a shared interrupt, so the interrupt handlers must be prepared
to be called at any time. At driver removal time, the clocks are
disabled early and the interrupts stay registered until the very end of
the remove process due to the devm usage.
This is potentially a bug as the interrupts access device registers
which assumes clocks are enabled. A crash can be triggered by removing
the driver in a kernel with CONFIG_DEBUG_SHIRQ enabled.
This patch frees the interrupts at each lima device finishing callback
so that the handlers are already unregistered by the time we fully
disable clocks.

In the past, there were similar failures reported by CI from other IGT
tests, observed on other platforms.
Before commit 63baf4f3d5 ("drm/i915/gt: Only wait for GPU activity
before unbinding a GGTT fence"), i915_vma_revoke_fence() was waiting for
idleness of vma->active via fence_update(). That commit introduced
vma->fence->active in order for the fence_update() to be able to wait
selectively on that one instead of vma->active since only idleness of
fence registers was needed. But then, another commit 0d86ee3509
("drm/i915/gt: Make fence revocation unequivocal") replaced the call to
fence_update() in i915_vma_revoke_fence() with only fence_write(), and
also added that GEM_BUG_ON(!i915_active_is_idle(&fence->active)) in front.
No justification was provided on why we might then expect idleness of
vma->fence->active without first waiting on it.
The issue can be potentially caused by a race among revocation of fence
registers on one side and sequential execution of signal callbacks invoked
on completion of a request that was using them on the other, still
processed in parallel to revocation of those fence registers. Fix it by
waiting for idleness of vma->fence->active in i915_vma_revoke_fence().

This is an effort to get rid of all multiplications from allocation
functions in order to prevent integer overflows [1] [2].
In this case, the memory allocated to store RADEONFB_CONN_LIMIT pointers
to "drm_connector" structures can be avoided. This is because this
memory area is never accessed.
Also, in the kzalloc function, it is preferred to use sizeof(*pointer)
instead of sizeof(type) due to the type of the variable can change and
one needs not change the former (unlike the latter).
At the same time take advantage to remove the "#if 0" block, the code
where the removed memory area was accessed, and the RADEONFB_CONN_LIMIT
constant due to now is never used.

The breadcrumbs use a GT wakeref for guarding the interrupt, but are
disarmed during release of the engine wakeref. This leaves a hole where
we may attach a breadcrumb just as the engine is parking (after it has
parked its breadcrumbs), execute the irq worker with some signalers still
attached, but never be woken again.
That issue manifests itself in CI with IGT runner timeouts while tests
are waiting indefinitely for release of all GT wakerefs.

One impact of commit 047a1b877e ("dma-buf & drm/amdgpu: remove
dma_resv workaround") is that it stores many, many more fences. Whereas
adding an exclusive fence used to remove the shared fence list, that
list is now preserved and the write fences included into the list. Not
just a single write fence, but now a write/read fence per context. That
causes us to have to track more fences than before (albeit half of those
are redundant), and we trigger more interrupts for multi-engine
workloads.
As part of reducing the impact from handling more signaling, we observe
we only need to kick the signal worker after adding a fence iff we have
good cause to believe that there is work to be done in processing the
fence i.e. we either need to enable the interrupt or the request is
already complete but we don't know if we saw the interrupt and so need
to check signaling.

There is a race condition in which a rendering job might take just long
enough to trigger the drm sched job timeout handler but also still
complete before the hard reset is done by the timeout handler.
This runs into race conditions not expected by the timeout handler.
In some very specific cases it currently may result in a refcount
imbalance on lima_pm_idle, with a stack dump such as:
[10136.669170] WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 0 at drivers/gpu/drm/lima/lima_devfreq.c:205 lima_devfreq_record_idle+0xa0/0xb0

We can prevent that race condition entirely by masking the irqs at the
beginning of the timeout handler, at which point we give up on waiting
for that job entirely.
The irqs will be enabled again at the next hard reset which is already
done as a recovery by the timeout handler.

commit 799d4b3924 upstream.
When reading EDID fails and driver reports no modes available, the DRM
core adds an artificial 1024x786 mode to the connector. Unfortunately
some variants of the Exynos HDMI (like the one in Exynos4 SoCs) are not
able to drive such mode, so report a safe 640x480 mode instead of nothing
in case of the EDID reading failure.

Device managed panel bridge wrappers are created by calling to
drm_panel_bridge_add_typed() and registering a release handler for
clean-up when the device gets unbound.
Since the memory for this bridge is also managed and linked to the panel
device, the release function should not try to free that memory.
Moreover, the call to devm_kfree() inside drm_panel_bridge_remove() will
fail in this case and emit a warning because the panel bridge resource
is no longer on the device resources list (it has been removed from
there before the call to release handlers).

[ Upstream commit f8e12e770e ]
pipe_ctx pointer cannot be NULL when getting the address of
an element of the pipe_ctx array. Moreover, the MAX_PIPES is
defined as 6, so pipe_ctx is not NULL after the loop either.

This reverts commit 56b522f466.
A user reported that this commit breaks the integrated gpu of his
notebook, causing a black screen. He was able to bisect the problematic
commit and verified that by reverting it the notebook works again.
He also confirmed that kernel 6.8.1 also works on his device, so the
upstream commit itself seems to be ok.
An amdgpu developer (Alex Deucher) confirmed that this patch should
have never been ported to 5.15 in the first place, so revert this
commit from the 5.15 stable series.

[ Upstream commit 30ea09a182 ]
The bridge always uses 24bpp internally. Therefore, for jeida-18
mapping we need to discard the lowest two bits for each channel and thus
starting with LV_[RGB]2. jeida-24 has the same mapping but uses four
lanes instead of three, with the forth pair transmitting the lowest two
bits of each channel. Thus, the mapping between jeida-18 and jeida-24
is actually the same, except that one channel is turned off (by
selecting the RGB666 format in VPCTRL).
While at it, remove the bogus comment about the hardware default because
the default is overwritten in any case.
Tested with a jeida-18 display (Evervision VGG644804).
