Remove the external bitmap check as the statistics should be available regardless of bitmap storage location. Return -EINVAL only for invalid bitmap with no storage (neither in superblock nor in external file). Note: "bitmap_info.external" here refers to a bitmap stored in a separate file (bitmap_file), not to external metadata. If no suitable source disk is found after checking all possibilities, the 'primary' index will reach conf->raid_disks * 2. Add an explicit check for this condition after the loop. If no source disk was found, print an error message and return early to prevent further processing without a valid primary source.
